About

Built by someone
who took the long way.

“The evidence was there on day one. Nobody went looking. Least of all me.”

Here is how it usually goes.

You get the idea in the shower. It is obviously good. You tell a friend and they say “oh, nice”, which you file as market validation. You buy the domain that night — the good one, the $15-a-year one — because if you do not, someone else will.

Six months later you have a product, a logo, a Notion full of roadmap, and a slowly dawning suspicion. Then one Tuesday you type your own idea into Google properly, for the first time, and find four companies that already did it. Three are dead. One is free.

All four were findable on day one. You simply never looked, because looking felt like it might take the idea away from you — and by then the idea had become a plan, and the plan had become a year.

I have done this. More than once. The domain is still renewing.

So what is this?

A way to spend two minutes doing the search you were avoiding.

It hunts the companies that already tried your idea and are now gone, finds who quietly gives the same thing away free, works out whether anyone can actually be made to pay, then genuinely tries to kill the idea — and ends with three or four experiments you can run in ninety days for less than a thousand dollars, each with a pass and fail line fixed before you look at the data.

Not because ideas deserve to die. Because the good ones survive this, and then you get to build with your shoulders down.

And the library?

Every idea checked here goes into the graveyard, anonymously, with the full evidence behind its verdict.

That is the part I actually care about. Somebody, somewhere, has already researched the thing you are about to research. They paid for it in weekends. If their work saves you a year, that is a year you get to spend on something that might work — and one day your report saves someone else theirs.

Nobody sees whose idea is whose. No names, no emails, nothing stored against you. Bring your embarrassing ones.

Who made it

One person in India who has spent a fair amount of money finding out what was already on the internet, and would rather you did not.

It is free. There is nothing to buy, no upgrade, no “book a call”. The research runs on the ChatGPT or Claude you are already paying for, which costs me nothing, which is exactly why it can stay free.

Fair warning: this thing will tell you not to build your idea more often than it tells you to build it. That is not pessimism — it is what the evidence usually says. The ideas that survive it are worth a great deal more than the ones that were never tested.
